I’m after a 1TB external disc, I’ve looked at the Western Digital one and it looks the ticket, I just wondered whether anyone has any personal recommendations I could take a look at before I jump in and buy something.

Get two 500GB ones. It’ll be cheaper, and you’re not relying upon ONE drive with all your stuff on…
Cheers for that Trev, I thought the Western Digital was 2 500GB as it was selling RAID as one of its features. Oh well must pay attention to specs!
Don’t know much on the Western Digital, but I’d avoid the Buffalo Terastations. They’re quite slow when it comes to file transfers – fine if you’re using it just for backup or archival purposes, but useless if you want to stream video off them or similar.
I have a opportunity for a web developer within Stafordshire, please contact me for further information.
