To my surprise I’ve recently been prescribed glasses. I say surprise because I felt I had pretty good vision and only rarely suffered eye strain.
I went to my local D&A to get my prescription and order my glasses. I’ve now been wearing my glasses all week and my eyes feel like I’ve been out for an all nighter with the love child of Oliver Reed and Pete Docherty.
Is this just normal, and me getting used to them?
Actually, after being prescribed glasses my eyes felt soooo much better! Especially one I’m tired, I find it easier to read and/or work in front of the computer.
Even though I hadn’t got to, maybe you just need some time to get used to them. Try to contact your doctor and hear what she/he thinks… 🙂
Hi Michele, thank for the info, think I may try your suggestion. What makes me paranoid is the fact that I can’t see any improvement in sight when I got them on!
Glasses are normally prescribed for a couple of reasons, either your vision isn’t as good as it could be and so needs improving or to help your eyes if they are working too hard. (Also as you get older you need them for reading!)
Often you need time to get used to specs. However, if you can’t get on with them and feel they are making no difference then go back and talk to the opticians, even if its just to put your mind at rest – they will help. Hope that helps.
Thanks for the advice Paul, I guess the reason is that I’m getting old, I just can’t come to terms with that! 🙁
Hope you can meet the next Multipack meet!
